Personal Experience
Mr. Dunn’s practice is focused on litigation - involving contractual disputes, torts, real property, employment matters, and professional malpractice - as well as closing residential and commercial real estate transactions. He received his B.S. degree in Biological Sciences, summa cum laude with Senior Departmental Honors, from Clemson University in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996, where he served on the Student Editorial Board of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. Prior to joining Ormond | Dunn, he was a partner in the law firm of Holler Garner, Corbett, Ormond, Plante & Dunn, and served as Underwriting and Claims Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company’s South Carolina Office.
In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Dunn served as an officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard for over twenty-five years. In 2004-2005 he was deployed to Afghanistan where he served as a member of an Embedded Training Team advising an infantry company of the Afghan National Army. Mr. Dunn was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and Bronze Star for his actions while serving in this capacity.
Mr. Dunn is married with four children and lives in the Ballentine area. He is a member of the Richland County and South Carolina Bar Associations and Riverland Hills Baptist Church.
